The Ministry of Coal, by notification S.O. 993(E) dated 1st March 2024, in exercise of powers under sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957), gives notice of the Central Government's intention to prospect for coal on land in the Bhilai Block, Bhilaibazar and Salora Block, Gevra Area, Korba Coalfields, District Korba, Chhattisgarh, comprising villages Ralia (409.500 ha, part), Mudianar (88.500 ha, full) and Bhilaibazar (365.000 ha, part) under Patwari Halka number 51/53 in Tahsil Dipka (Katghora), totaling approximately 863.00 hectares (2132.47 acres), as detailed in plan number SECL/BSP/GM(L and R)/LAND/07 dated 24th January 2024, inspectable at the offices of the Collector (Korba), the Coal Controller (Ministry of Coal, Delhi), South Eastern Coalfields Limited (Bilaspur) and the Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited (Ranchi); interested persons may claim compensation under section 6 or section 13 of the Act, with all maps, charts and documents to be delivered to the Officer-in-Charge/Head of the Department (Revenue), South Eastern Coalfields Limited, Bilaspur, within ninety days of publication; the notification was signed by Bhabani Prasad Pati, Joint Secretary, under File No. 43015/1/2024-LAIR.

L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-02032024-252563 EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 948] NEW DELHI, FRIDAY, MARCH 1, 2024/PHALGUNA 11, 1945 MINISTRY OF COAL NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 1st March, 2024 S.O. 993(E).—Whereas, it appears to the Central Government that coal is likely to be obtained from the land in the locality described in the Schedule annexed hereto; And, whereas, the plan bearing number SECL/ BSP/GM(L and R)/LAND/07, dated the 24th January, 2024 containing details of the area of land described in the said Schedule may be inspected at the office of the Collector, District - Korba (Chhattisgarh) or at the office of the Coal Controller, Ministry of Coal, Scope Minar, 5th Floor, Core - II, Laxmi Nagar, Delhi – 110092 or at the office of the South Eastern Coalfields Limited (Land and Revenue Department), Seepat Road, Bilaspur -495006 (Chhattisgarh) or Chief General Manager (Exploration Division), Central Mine Planning and Design Institute limited, Gondwana Place, Kanke Road, Ranchi – 834031, Jharkhand; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government hereby gives notice of its intention to prospect for coal from the land described in the said schedule; Any person interested in the land described in the said Schedule may (i) claim compensation under section 6 of the said Act for any damage caused or likely to be caused by any action taken under sub- section (3) of section 4 thereof; or (ii) claim compensation under sub-section (1) of section 13 of the said Act in respect of prospecting license ceasing to have effect or under sub-section (4) of section 13 of the said Act for mining lease ceasing to have effect and deliver all maps, charts and other documents relating to the aforesaid land to show the expenditure incurred in respect of items specified in clauses (i) to (iv) of sub-section (1) of section 13 of the said Act, to the Officer-In-Charge or Head of the Department (Revenue), South Eastern Coalfields Limited, Seepat Road, Bilaspur -495006 (Chhattisgarh) within a period of ninety days from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.
