WITHDRAWAL ORDER
New Delhi, the 19th November, 2024
F. No. 18-18/12989-INC.—In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 14 of Indian Nursing Council
Act, 1947 (XLVIII of 1947), the Indian Nursing Council hereby issues thefollowing order:—
Whereas, Maa Padmawati Institute Of Nursing situated at Mahatma Gandhi Marg, Ward No-1,
Thandla, Distt.- Jhabua, Pin Code- 457777, Madhya Pradesh is recognized by State Government of Madhya
Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh Nurses Registration Council to conduct GNM Course.
Whereas, a notice no. 18-18/12989-INC (52815) dated 26/02/2024 for withdrawal of Recognition under
section 14 of Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947 addressed to the principal secretary (Health & FW), Government of
Madhya Pradesh Room No. 241, Mantralaya (VallabhBhawan) Area Hills, Bhopal – 462004, Madhya Pradesh was
issued. Copy of the notice dated 26/02/2024 was also enclosed to Maa Padmawati Institute Of Nursing situated at
Mahatma Gandhi Marg, WardNo-1, Thandla, Distt.- Jhabua, Pin Code-457777, Madhya Pradesh. In the notice
issued, the State Government was requested to submit their recommendations to the Council as respects Suitability of
the nursing institution.
Whereas, the Council has not received any recommendation from the State Government asrespects the case
of Maa Padmawati Institute Of Nursing. Even the institution, Maa Padmawati Institute Of Nursing has not
responded to the notices issued.
Whereas, the Council has considered the matter in its entirety. Perusal of the inspection report
dated 18/04//2023 would show that the institution is deficient in many respects especially thoserelating to deficiencies
i.e., clinical and teaching facilities. These are serious deficiencies whichconstitute that the institution is unable to run
GNM Course.
Now therefore, the Council exercising powers under section 14(3) (b) declares that with effect from
21/05/2024 any person holding a recognized qualification of GNM from Maa Padmawati Institute Of Nursing
situated at Mahatma Gandhi Marg, Ward No-1, Thandla, Distt.- Jhabua, Pin Code- 457777, Madhya Pradesh
shall be entitled to be registered only in the State of Madhya Pradesh.
