Core Purpose

Indian Nursing Council withdraws recognition of Satya School of Nursing for GNM course effective May 21, 2024, due to identified deficiencies.

Detailed Summary

The Indian Nursing Council has issued a withdrawal order for the recognition granted to Satya School of Nursing, Andhra Pradesh, to conduct the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course. Effective from May 21, 2024, this withdrawal is based on an inspection report dated April 21, 2023, which highlighted significant deficiencies in the institution's clinical and teaching facilities, rendering it incapable of running the GNM program. Prior to this order, a notice was issued on December 26, 2023, to the Andhra Pradesh State Government and the nursing school seeking recommendations regarding the institution's suitability, but no response or recommendations were received. Consequently, individuals holding GNM qualifications from Satya School of Nursing will only be eligible for registration within the State of Andhra Pradesh.
