Appointment of Shri Janak Kumar Garg,IRSSE(Retd.) as Chief Commissioner of Railway Safety on Contract basis.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation, through Notification No. A.12025/01/2013 (2) – RS. dated 28th November, 2025, announces the President's appointment of Shri Janak Kumar Garg, IRSEE (Retd.), as the Chief Commissioner of Railway Safety. This appointment is for the Commission of Railway Safety, which functions under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, and is on a contract basis. The term of appointment is for one year, effective from 1st November, 2025, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The appointment is subject to the usual terms and conditions applicable to re-employed Central Government Officers, with the relevant RRs (Recruitment Rules) kept in abeyance.
