NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 30th September, 2024
S.O. 4263(E). Whereas it appears to the Central Government that Coal is likely to be obtained from the
land in the locality described in the Schedule annexed hereto;
And whereas the plan bearing number C-I(E)/III/JJJR/0724/1019, dated the 24th July, 2024, containing details
of the area of land described in the said Schedule may be inspected at the office of the Western Coalfields Limited
(Revenue Department), Coal Estate, Civil Lines, Nagpur 440001, Maharashtra or at the office of the Chief General
Manager (Exploration Division), Central Mine Planning and Design Institute, Gondwana Palace, Kanke Road, Ranchi
834008, Jharkhand or at the office of the Coal Controller, Coal Controller's Organization, Ministry of Coal, Scope
Minar, 5th floor, Core 2, Laxmi Nagar, Delhi 110092 or at the office of the District Collector, District Chandrapur
442402, Maharashtra;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Coal Bearing Areas
(Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central
Government hereby gives notice of its intention to prospect for coal from the land described in the said Schedule;
Any persons interested in the land described in the said Schedules may -
(i) claim compensation under section 6 of the said Act for any damage caused or likely to be caused by
any action taken under sub-section (3) of section 4 of the said Act; or
(ii) claim compensation under sub-section (1) of section 13 of the said Act in respect of prospecting
licenses ceasing to have effect or under sub-section (4) of section 13 of the said Act for mining lease ceasing
to have effect and deliver all maps, charts and other documents relating to the aforesaid land to show the
expenditure incurred in respect of items specified in clauses (i) to (iv) of sub-section (1) of section 13 of the
said Act,
to the Office of the Area General Manager, Western Coalfields Limited, Ballarpur Area, Post Office Sasti, Tahsil
Rajura, District Chandrapur, Maharashtra or General Manager (Land and Revenue) Western Coalfields Limited, Land
and Revenue Department, Coal Estate, Civil Lines, Nagpur 440001, Maharashtra within a period of ninety days from
the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.

A-B: Line Starts from Point 'A' on the common village boundary of village Gauri and Antergaon (Khurd), passes to
ward North-east direction along Gauri Nala and meets Point 'B' in Gauri village.
B-C: Line starts form Point 'B', passes towards East direction and meets Point 'C' in village Gauri.
C-D: Line starts from Point 'C', passes towards South-east direction, and meets Point 'D' in village Gauri.
D-E: Line starts from Point 'D', passes towords South-east direction and meets Point 'E' in village Gauri.
E-F: Line starts from Point 'E', passes towards South-east direction and meets Point 'F' on the common village
boundary of village Gauri and Mathara.
F-G: Line starts from Point 'F', passes towards South-east direction, cross the Mathara Nala and meets Point 'G' in
village Mathara.
G-H: Line starts from Point 'G', passes towards South direction, crosses the common village boundary of village
Mathara and Khairgaon (Rith) and of village Khairgaon (Rith) and Arvi and meets Point 'H' in village Arvi.
H-I: Line starts from Point 'H', passes towards South-West direction, crosses the common village boundary of village
Arvi and Khairgaon (Rith) and meets Point 'I' on the common village boundary of Khairgaon (Rith) and
Khamona.
I-J:
Line starts from Point 'I', passes towards West direction, crosses the common village boundary of Khamona
and Muthara and meets Point ‘J' invillage Muthara near Nala.
J-K: Line starts from Point 'J', passes towards North direction along Nala and meets Point 'K' in village Muthara.
