L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-01042026-271480 EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 1572] NEW DELHI, MONDAY, MARCH 30, 2026/CHAITRA 9, 1948 MINISTRY OF POWER ORDER New Delhi, the 27th March, 2026 S.O. 1637(E).— Whereas M/s Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited, the applicant with its registered office at 34, Sant Tukaram Road, Carnac Bunder, Mumbai 400009, has applied for authorization under Section 164 of the Electricity Act, 2003 for laying of overhead transmission line included in the transmission scheme, “Transmission system for providing connectivity of 302.8MW to M/s TATA Power Renewable Energy Limited for its proposed Wind Power Project in Dharashiv District, Maharashtra". And whereas, Ministry of Power, Government of India vide its letter No. 25-17/90/2024-PG dated 17.09.2024 had granted prior approval under section 68(1) of the Electricity Act, 2003 for laying of overhead transmission line included in the transmission scheme, “Transmission system for providing connectivity of 302.8MW to M/s TATA Power Renewable Energy Limited for its proposed Wind Power Project in Dharashiv District, Maharashtra.” M/s Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited had published notice for transmission scheme in local newspapers Indian Express (in English) dated 12.08.2025, Lokhmat Samachar (in Hindi) dated 12.08.2025 and Punya Nagari (in Marathi) 12.08.2025, and in Weekly Gazette of India dated 20.09.2025 for the general public to make observations/ representations on the proposed transmission route within two months from the date of publication. Subsequently, M/s Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited has submitted an affidavit dated 20.01.2026 declaring that no observation/ representation was received within two months from the date of Publication in the Newspaper/official Gazette of Government of India. And now the applicant has requested to confer upon him, all the powers under section 164 of the Electricity Act, 2003, which the telegraph authority possess under the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885 with respect to the placing of telegraph lines and posts for the purpose of a telegraph established or maintained by Government or to be so established or maintained for laying of overhead transmission line for M/s Tata Power Renewable Limited. The following overhead transmission line is covered under this scheme: • TPREL PS (located at Village Washi, Taluka Washi, District Dharashiv, Maharashtra) – TSPPL Common PS (located at Village Nandurghat, Taluka Kej, District Beed, Maharashtra) 400 kV S/c line on S/c towers (total line length of 18.301 km approx.). The approval is granted for 25 years. ii. The Applicant shall have to seek the consent of the concerned authorities i.e., local bodies, Railways, National Highways, State Highways etc. before erection of proposed line. iii. The Applicant shall have to follow regulations/ codes of the Appropriate Commission regarding transmission, O&M, open access, etc., framed under the Electricity Act, 2003. iv. The Applicant shall operate the line after approval of Electrical Inspector / Chief Electrical Inspector of Central Government. v. The approval is subject to compliance of the requirement of the provisions of the Electricity Act, 2003 and the rules made there under by the applicant. vi. M/s Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited shall have to submit the requisite clearances to Central Electricity Authority after obtaining the same from concerned authorities like Civil Aviation, Defense etc., at the time of Electrical Inspection.
