WITHDRAWAL ORDER
New Delhi, the 19th November, 2024
F. No. 18-18/14600-INC:—In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 14 of Indian Nursing Council
Act, 1947 (XLVIII of 1947), the Indian Nursing Council hereby issues thefollowing order:—
Whereas, Shanti College Of Nursing situated at New Jhansi Khajurao National Highway, Nowgong,
Distt.- Chhatarpur, Pin Code- 471201, Madhya Pradesh is recognized by State Government of Madhya Pradesh
and Madhya Pradesh Nurses Registration Council to conduct GNM Course.
Whereas, a notice no. 18-18/14600-INC (52841) dated 26/02/2024 for withdrawal of Recognition under
section 14 of Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947 addressed to the principal secretary (Health & FW), Government of
Madhya Pradesh Room No. 241, Mantralaya (VallabhBhawan) Area Hills,Bhopal – 462004, Madhya Pradesh was
issued. Copy of the notice dated 26/02/2024 was also enclosed to Shanti College Of Nursing situated at New Jhansi
Khajurao National Highway, Nowgong, Distt.- Chhatarpur, Pin Code- 471201, Madhya Pradesh. In the notice
issued, the State Government was requested to submit their recommendations to the Council as respectsSuitability of
the nursing institution.
Whereas, the Council has not received any recommendation from the State Government asrespects the case
of Shanti College Of Nursing. Even the institution, Shanti College Of Nursing has not responded to the notices
issued.
Whereas, the Council has considered the matter in its entirety. Indian Nursing Council vide itsletter no. 18-
18/14600-INC dated 21/04/2023 considered the institution as closed for GNM course as no nursing teaching faculty
and students were present on the day of inspection.
Now therefore, the Council exercising powers under section 14(3) (b) declares that with effect from
21/05/2024 any person holding a recognized qualification of GNM from Shanti CollegeOf Nursing situated at New
Jhansi Khajurao National Highway, Nowgong, Distt.- Chhatarpur, Pin Code- 471201, Madhya Pradesh. Shall be
entitled to be registered only in the State of Madhya Pradesh.
