No. 18-04/15881-INC. β€”In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 14 of Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947 (XLVIII of 1947), the Indian Nursing Council hereby issues the following order:- Whereas, Scamewo School of Nursing situated at Shastrinagar, Baladmari, Goalpara, Distt. Goalpara 783121 Assam is recognized by State Government of Assam and Assam Nurses Midwives & Health Visitor Council to conduct GNM Course. Whereas, a notice no. 18-04/15881(53922) dated 27/03/2024 for withdrawal of Recognition under section 14 of Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947 addressed to the principal secretary (Health & FW), Government of Assam, C.M Block 3rd Floor Assam Secretariat, Dispur, Guwahati, Assam -781006. Assam was issued. Copy of the notice dated 27/03/2024 was also enclosed to Scamewo School of Nursing at Shastrinagar, Baladmari, Goalpara, Distt. Goalpara 783121 Assam In the notice issued, the State Government was requested to submit their recommendations to the Council as respects Suitability of the nursing institution. Whereas, the Council has not received any recommendation from the State Government as respects the case of Scamewo School of Nursing. Even the institution Scamewo School of Nursing has not responded to the notices issued. Whereas, the Council has considered the matter in its entirety. Perusal of the inspection report dated 23/08/2023 would show that the institution is deficient in many respects especially those relating to deficiencies i.e., clinical and teaching facilities. These are serious deficiencies which constitute that the institution is unable to run GNM Course. Now therefore, the Council exercising powers under section 14(3) (b) declares that with effect from 21/05/2024 any person holding a recognized qualification of GNM from Scamewo School of Nursing situated Shastrinagar, Baladmari, Goalpara, Distt.
