INDIAN NURSING COUNCIL
WITHDRAWAL ORDER
New Delhi, the 19th November, 2024
F. No. -18-11/15586-INC.—In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 14 of Indian Nursing Council
Act, 1947 (XLVIII of 1947), the Indian Nursing Council hereby issues the following order:—
Whereas, Ekalavya College of Nursing situated at & Post Simaliya, Ta-Ghogamba, Distt-Panchmahal,
Simaliya, Panchmahal 389341 is recognized by State Government of Gujarat and Gujarat Nursing Council to
conduct ANM Course.
Whereas, a notice no. 18-11/15586-INC (450361) dated 26/12/2023 for withdrawal of Recognition under
section 14 of Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947 addressed to the principal secretary (Health & FW), Government of
Gujarat Block No. 05, 1st Floor Old Sachiwalay, Dr. Jivraj Mehta Bhavan, Sector No. 10, Gandhinagar 382010
Gujarat was issued. Copy of the notice dated 26/12/2023 was also enclosed to Ekalavya College of Nursing at
& Post Simaliya, Ta – Ghogamba, Distt - Panchmahal, Simaliya, Panchmahal 389341 Gujarat In the notice
issued, the State Government was requested to submit their recommendations to the Council as respects Suitability of
the nursing institution.
Whereas, the Council has not received any recommendation from the State Government as respects the case
of Ekalavya College of Nursing Even the institution Ekalavya College of Nursing has not responded to the notices
issued.
Whereas, the Council has considered the matter in its entirety. Perusal of the inspection report dated
07/03/2023 would show that the institution is deficient in many respects especially those relating to deficiencies i.e.,
clinical and teaching facilities. These are serious deficiencies which constitute that the institution is unable to run
ANM Course.
Now therefore, the Council exercising powers under section 14(3) (b) declares that with effect from
21/05/2024 any person holding a recognized qualification of ANM from Ekalavya College of Nursing situated at
& Post Simaliya, Ta – Ghogamba, Distt – Panchmahal, Simaliya, Panchmahal 389341 Gujarat shall be entitled
to be registered only in the State of Gujarat.
