INDIAN NURSING COUNCIL
WITHDRAWAL ORDER
New Delhi, the 19th November, 2024
F.No. 18-39/2001-INC: — In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 14 of Indian Nursing Council Act,
1947 (XLVIII of 1947), the Indian Nursing Council hereby issues the following order:—
Whereas, G.N.M. Training School, Patliputra Medical College And Hospital, situated at P.O.-Bccl Township,
Saraidhela, P.S.-Saraidhela, Dhanbad, Distt.- Dhanbad, Pin Code- 826005, Jharkhand is recognized by State
Government of Jharkhand and Jharkhand Nurses & Registration Council to conduct GNM Course.
Whereas, a notice no. 18-39/2001-INC (47197) dated 26/12/2023 for withdrawal of Recognition under section
14 of Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947 addressed to Chief Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare,
Government of Jharkhand, Nepal House, Doranda, Ranchi – 834002, Jharkhand was issued. Copy of the notice dated
26/12/2023 was also enclosed to G.N.M. Training School, Patliputra Medical College And Hospital, situated at P.O.-
Bccl Township, Saraidhela, P.S.-Saraidhela, Dhanbad, Distt.- Dhanbad, Pin Code- 826005, Jharkhand. In the notice
issued, the State Government was requested to submit their recommendations to the Council as respects Suitability of
the nursing institution.
Whereas, the Council has not received any recommendation from the State Government as respects the case of
G.N.M. Training School, Patliputra Medical College And Hospital. Even the institution G.N.M. Training School,
Patliputra Medical College And Hospital has not responded to the notices issued.
Whereas, the Council has considered the matter in its entirety. Perusal of the inspection report dated 21/04/2023
would show that the institution is deficient in many respects especially those relating to deficiencies i.e., clinical and
teaching facilities. These are serious deficiencies which constitute the institution is unable to run GNM Course.
Now therefore, the Council exercising powers under section 14(3)(b) declares that with effect from 21/05/2024
any person holding a recognized qualification of GNM from G.N.M. Training School, Patliputra Medical College And
Hospital, situated at P.O.-Bccl Towns Saraidhela, P.S.-Saraidhela, Dhanbad, Distt.- Dhanbad, Pin Code- 826005,
Jharkhand shall be entitled to be registered only in the State of Jharkhand.
