No. 20/4/2003/HP -II/3782.—Whereas, the noise caused by indiscriminate blowing of horns by the motorists at departure and arrival forecourts of Terminal -3 IGI Airport is causing annoyance and disturbance to the general pu blic. And whereas, it is necessary to prevent this harm by reducing the noise levels emitting from use/blowing of horns at departure and arrival forecourts of Terminal -3 IGI Airport. Now, therefore, I, S.K. Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police/Traffic (HQ -II), Delhi in exercise of the powers u/s 29(e) of Delhi Police Act, 1978 delegated to me by the Commissioner of Police, Delhi vide his Order No. 1433 -1560/Spl. Cell dated 07.07.1978 do hereby prohibit the blowing of horns at departure and arrival forecour ts of Terminal -3 IGI Airportexcept under emergency/urgent situations where blowing of horn is warranted. This order shall be published for information of the general public in the official gazette and by affixing a copy on the notice boards of the office o f all District Deputy Commissioner of Police and all Police Stations in Delhi/New Delhi. The concerned c ivic road agencies maintaining the roads/areas shall erect the corresponding informatory signboards indicating the restrictions in the area for information and convenience of all concerned.
