No. 3/07/HESMA/2016/HP -II/ 2045 -2056 .—Whereas, vide Home Department, Govt. of NCT of Delhi Notification No. F. 3/07/HESMA/2016/HP -II/561-572 dated 06.03.2024 , the Lt. Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi declared the services of Ground Handling at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi as essential services and prohibited the strike of all employees of the Ground Handling Service Provider at the IGIA, Delhi as well as the employees of Delhi International Airport Ltd who provide the services of ground handling at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi, for maintaining the said services necessary for the people in the National Capital Terri tory of Delhi. The said notification is valid up to 23.9 .2024. And whereas, the Lt. Governor, Delhi of the National Capital Territory of Delhi is further satisfied that in the public interest, it is necessary and expedient to prohibit the strike/agitation by the employees of Delhi International Airport Ltd who provide the service of ground handling at Indira Gandhi International Airport. Now, therefore, the Lt. Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, in exercise of Powers conferred upon him u nder section 3 clause (ii) read with section 4A of the Haryana Essential Services Maintenance Act , 1974 (Haryana Act No. 40 of 1974) as extended to the National Capital Territory of Delhi vide Govt. of India, Ministry of Home Affairs Notification No. GSR 52 6 (E) dated 30.7.93, hereby orders that the above said services as essential services and prohibits the strike by all employees of the Ground Handling Service Provider at the IGIA as well as the employees of Delhi International Airport Ltd who provide the services of ground handling at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi for another p eriod of six months w.e.f. 24.09.2024 upto 23.03.2025 .
