This declaration is made in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 20A of the Railways Act, 1989, as amended by the Railways (Amendment) Act, 2008. Any person interested in the land may raise objections within thirty days from the notification's publication date in the Official Gazette, as per sub-section (1) of Section 20D of the said Act. Objections must be submitted in writing to the Competent Authority, identified as the Additional District Magistrate (Land Acquisition), Purba Bardhaman, West Bengal. The Competent Authority will provide a hearing and their order under sub-section (2) of Section 20D shall be final. Land plans and details are available for inspection at the Competent Authority's office. The Schedule annexed details specific plot numbers and acquisition areas (in acres and hectares) across various Mouzas (KHANO-139, PILGRAM -106, CHOTAMURE-105, GALSI-64) for multiple level crossings (e.g., NO. 76/B/T, NO. 78/C/E, NO. 79/C/E, NO. 80/C/E) between Khana and Galsi stations.

L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-WB-E-18122025-268621 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 5578] NEW DELHI, MONDAY, DECEMBER 15, 2025/AGRAHAYANA 24, 1947 MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (Eastern Railway) NOTIFICATION Kolkata, the 4th December, 2025 S.O. 5773(E). โ€” In exercise of the power conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 20A of the the Railways Act, 1989, (as amended vide the Railways (Amendment) Act, 2008) (herein after referred to as the said Act), the Central Government after being satisfied that for the public purpose, the land, the brief description of which has given in the Schedule annexed hereto, is required for the purpose execution, maintenance and operation of the Special Railway Project namely, โ€œAsansol Division 42 Nos Elimination of level crossing in ER+DFC route from Khana Pradhankanta" in the Purba Bardhaman District in the State of West Bengal, hereby declares its intention to acquire such land; Any person interested in the said land may, within a period of thirty days from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, raise objection to the acquisition and use of such land for the aforesaid purpose under sub-section (1) of Section 20D of the said Act; Every such objection shall be made to the Competent Authority, namely, Additional District Magistrate (Land Acquisition), Purba Bardhaman, West Bengal in writing and shall set out the grounds thereof, and the Competent Authority shall give the objector an opportunity of being heard, either in person or by legal practitioner and may after hearing all such objections and after making such further enquiry, if any, as the Competent Authority thinks necessary, by order, either allow or disallow the objections; Any order made by the Competent Authority under sub- section (2) of Section 20D of the said Act shall be final; The land plans and other details of the land covered under this notification are available and can be inspected by the interested persons at the aforesaid office of the Competent Authority.
