NOTIFICATION
Kolkata, the 15th October, 2025
S.O. 4687(E).-Whereas, by the Notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Railways (South
Eastern Railway/Construction Organization), number 2996, S.O.3063(E), dated the 9th July, 2025 published in the
Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated 9th July, 2025 and issued under sub
section (1) of section 20A of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989)(herein after referred to as the said Act), the Central
Government, decided its intension to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed to the notification number
2996, S.O. 3063(E), dated the 9th July, 2025 for execution, maintenance, management and operation of Special
Railway Project, namely 'Construction of Nalpur-Bauria ROB in lieu of LC No.18 at Km. 23/17-19' in the district of
Howrah in the State of West Bengal.
And, whereas, the substance of notification number 2996, S.O. 3063(E), dated the 9th July, 2025 was
published in the daily newspapers, namely ‘Bartaman' (Bengali Edition), dated 16th July, 2024 and ‘'The Telegraph'
(English Edition), dated 16th July, 2024 under section (4) of section 20A of the said Act.
And, whereas, no petition/objection was received against notification number 2996, S.O.3063(E), dated
the 9th July, 2025 for consideration of the competent aurhority;
And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the competent authority has
submitted the report to the Central Government;
Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority, and in exercise of the powers
conferred by sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land
specified in the Schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;
And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby
declares that on the publication of this notification in the official Gazette, the land specified in the Schedule annexed
hereto shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
SCHEDULE
Brief description of land to be acquired, with or without structure, falling within the Special Railway Project
namely, 'Construction of Nalpur-Bauria Road Over Bridge (ROB) in lieu of LC No.18 at Km. 23/17-19' pertains to
Howrah-Kharagpur section under South Eastern Railway in the district of Howrah in the State of West Bengal.
