NOTIFICATION
Kolkata, the 20th November, 2024
G.S.R. 765(E).—The Union Cabinet, in its meeting held on 06.11.2024, has approved the proposal on Cadre Review of four Group 'A' Services under Geological Survey of India namely (i) the Central Geological Service Group 'A', (ii) the GSI Geophysical Service Group 'A', (iii) the GSI Chemical Service Group 'A' and (iv) the GSI Engineering Service Group 'A'. According to Cabinet approval, the revised sanctioned strength in four Group 'A' Services of GSI will be as under:

2. The details of these posts, stream wise and grade wise is given at Annexure-I. Moreover, the Cabinet has also approved the Continuation of 53 posts in Geophysics (Instrumentation) & Mineral Physics till natural attrition and merger with the GSI Geophysical Services as per Para.ii (a) of Annexure-I.
3. This issues in supersession of all earlier notifications and comes into effect from the date of its issuance.
