Notification for Administering Authority in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of sub section (1) of section 26 MMDR Act, 1957

L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-18082026-275540 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 4363] NEW DELHI, FRIDAY, AUGUST 14, 2026/SHRAVAN 23, 1948 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY MINISTRY OF MINES NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 14th August, 2026 [PART II-SEC. 3(ii)] S.O. 4543(E).—WHEREAS, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of sub-section (1) of section 26 of the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957 (67 of 1957) and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Mines, published in the Gazette of India, vide number S.O. 3847(E), dated 09th September, 2024, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Government hereby directs that on and from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the powers of the Central Government under the provisos to sub-sections (3) and (4) of section 10B, the provisos to sub-sections (4) and (5) of section 11 and section 11D of the said Act and under the Mineral (Auction) Rules, 2015, shall also be exercisable by Shri Kadam Sandeep Vasant, Joint Secretary to the Government of India in the Ministry of Mines. 2. For the purposes of exercising the above said powers, the said officer shall be known as the "Designated Officer". 3.
