L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-WB-E-14032026-270958 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 1251] NEW DELHI, FRIDAY, MARCH 13, 2026/PHALGUNA 22, 1947 MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (Metro Railway) NOTIFICATION Kolkata, the 12th March, 2026 S.O. 1308(E).—WHEREAS, by notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Railways number S.O. 3590(E) dated the 05th August, 2025 issued under sub-section (1) of section 7 of the Metro Railways (Construction of Works) Act, 1978 (33 of 1978), published in Part-II, Section 3, sub-section (II) of the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide No. 3504 dated the 5th August, 2025, the Central Government gave notice of its intention to acquire lands, buildings, streets, roads, passages or nallahs or the right of user or easement therein, specified in the Schedule appended to the said notification, for a public purpose of construction of New Town Maintenance Depot of New Garia– Dum Dum Airport Metro project (Phase-1 & Phase-2) and other works connected therewith in the metropolitan City of Kolkata; AND WHEREAS, the Central Government on the report of the Competent Authority of Metro Railway, Kolkata, is satisfied that such requirement of additional lands, buildings, streets, roads, passages or the right of users or easement therein, specified in the Schedule appended to the said notification, are required for the above said purpose. NOW, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 10 of the Metro Railways (Construction of Works) Act, 1978, the Central Government do hereby acquires the additional lands, buildings, streets, roads, passages or the right of users or easement therein, as specified in the Schedule appended to the said notification; The plan of the area, specified in the schedule which are acquired, is available for inspection in the office of the Competent Authority, Metro Railways, at 39/1, Rash Bihari Avenue, (1st Floor), Kolkata-700 026.
