L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-WB-E-10062026-273306 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 2872] NEW DELHI, WEDNESDAY, JUNE 10, 2026/JYAISTHA 20, 1948 MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS [South Eastern Railway (Construction Organization)] NOTIFICATION Kolkata, the 9th June, 2026 S.O. 2968(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (7A) of section 2 and Sub-Section (6) of Section 20F of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989), [as amended vide the Railways (Amendment) Act, 2008] the Central Government hereby authorizes the officers mentioned in column (4) of the Table below as Competent Authority to perform the functions as such authority and in column (5) of the Table below as Arbitrator to perform the functions as such authority under the said Act with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette with respect to land acquisition for the Special Railway Project namely, “New Dedicated freight Corridor connecting Dankuni in the east to Surat in the west” in the State of West Bengal relating to the districts mentioned in column (3) of the said Table for the public purpose.
