In exercise of the powers conferred by Clause 7A of Section 2 of the Railways (Amendment) Act, 2008, the Central Government hereby authorizes the officers mentioned in column (2) of the table below as "Competent Authority for Land Acquisition (CALA)" to perform the function as such authority under the said Act with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the official Gazette in respect of Special Railway Project of "Construction of ROB in lieu of (i) L.C. No. 303 at Km 716/8-9 between Chowka Ghat Burhwal (ii) L.C. No. 306 at Km 723/9-10 between Burhwal-Bindaura (iii) L.C. No. 310 at Km 728/4-5 between Burhwal - Bindaura (iv) L.C. No. 315 at Km 737/7-8 between Rafinagar-Jahangirabad (v) L.C. No. 317 at Km 740/1-2 between Jahangirabad-Barabanki in Section Barabanki - Gonda of the Lucknow Divison of N.E. Railway" in the state mentioned in column (4) and district mentioned in column (3) of the said table for the public purpose of execution, maintenance, management and operation of such Special Railway Project.
