NOTIFICATION
Jhansi, the 16th January, 2026
S.O. 677(E).—Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Railways (North
Central Railway, Gati Shakti Unit Jhansi), Notification number, S.O. 5565 (E) dated the 04.12.2025 published in Gazette
of India, Extraordinary Part II- section 3- Sub-section (ii), dated the 04.12.2025 (hereinafter referred to as the said
notification) and issued under sub-section (1) of section 20A of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) IVA and
(Amendment) Act, 2008 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declares its intention to acquire
the land specified in the schedule annexed to the said notification for the purpose of execution, maintenance,
management and operation of Special Railway Project, namely "Jhansi: UP gradation of Rayaru goods Shed as world
class goods shed (Phase-1)" project in circle poorani chhawani, Tehsil Gwalior Gramin, village Rayaru District Gwalior
in the state of Madhya Pradesh.
And whereas, the substance of the said notification was published in regional daily newspapers namely "Dainik
Bhaskar" and "Times of India", Gwalior Dated 12.12. 2025 by Competent Authority namely Sub divisional Officer
(Revenue), Anuvibhageey Adhikari Anuvibhag Gwalior city, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh under sub section (4) of section
20A of the said Act;
And whereas, no objections were received by the competent authority. Accordingly, notification dated
18.11.2025 was issued, followed by Gazette publication dated 04.12.2025. The said Gazette publication was also
published in regional daily newspapers, namely Dainik Bhaskar and The Times of India (Gwalior edition), dated
12.12.2025. Since the time limit of 30 days from the date of publication in newspapers, as prescribed under sub-section
(1) of Section 20D of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989), as amended by the Amendment Act, 2008, has elapsed,
orders have been passed accordingly.
And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Competent authority has
submitted its report to the Central Government;
Now therefore, upon receipt of the report of the Competent Authority, and in exercise of the powers conferred
by sub-section (1) of section 20 E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the lands specified in
the schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;
And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20 E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby
declares that on publication of this notification in the official Gazette, the land specified in the schedule annexed hereto
shall vest absolutely in the Central government free from all encumbrances.
