NOTIFICATION
Prayagraj, the 16th September, 2025
S.O. 4412(E).—Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Railways
(North Central Railway, Construction department), Notification number, S.O. 2044 (E) dated 07th May 2025
published in Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, section 3 Sub-section (ii), dated 07th May 2025 (hereinafter
referred to as the said notification) and issued under sub-section (1) of section 20A of the Railways (Amendment) Act,
2008 (11 of 2008) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declares its intention to acquire the
land specified in the schedule annexed to the said notification for the purpose of execution, maintenance, management
and operation of Special Railway Project of Khairar-Manikpur section in c/w the project Jhansi-Khairar-Manikpur
and Khairar-Bhimsen doubling Railway project (411 km) in Tehsil – Banda & Tehsil – Atarra of District Banda
in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
And whereas, the substance of the said notification was published in daily newspapers namely "Amar
Ujala" dated 16th May 2025 and “Dainik Jagran" Dated 16th May 2025 under sub section (4) of section 20A of the
said Act;
And whereas, all the objections received in this project have been disposed of by the competent authority;
And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section 20E of the said Act, the Competent Authority has submitted its
report to the Central Government;
Now therefore, upon receipt of the report of the Competent Authority, and in exercise of the powers
conferred by sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the lands
specified in the schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;
And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby
declares that on publication of this notification in the official Gazette, the land specified in the schedule annexed
hereto shall vest absolutely in the Central government free from all encumbrances.
And, that all persons interested in the above mentioned land in pursuance of sub-section (04) of section 20
(F) of the said Act by the Central Government are hereby informed that they may, personally or through an agent or
legal practitioner, be notified by the competent authorityi.e.Special Land Acquisition Officer (J.O.) / Banda, can
submit his claim in the next 20 days from the date of publication of this notification in the office of the Competent
Authority.
