L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-UP-E-02062026-273060 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 2655] NEW DELHI, SATURDAY, MAY 30, 2026/JYAISHTHA 9, 1948 3864 GI/2026 (1) MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS [North Central Railway (Construction Organization)] NOTIFICATION Prayagraj, the 27th May, 2026 S.O. 2748(E). - Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India, in the ministry of Railways (North Central Railway, Construction Department), Notification Number S.O. 5771(E), dated the 13 December 2025 published in Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), Gazette Number 5576, dated the 15 December 2025 (hereinafter referred to as the said notification) and issued under sub-section (I) of section 20A of the Railways (Amendment) Act, 2008 (11th of 2008) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the Land specified in the schedule annexed to the said notification for the purpose of execution, maintenance, management and operation of Special Railway Project namely "Construction of Jhansi- Khairar-Manikpur & Khairar-Bhimsen Rail Line Doubling Project" in the district of Niwari in the State of Madhya Pradesh; And whereas, the substance of the said notification was published in daily newspapers namely, “Dainik Jagran & Amar Ujala" dated 28 December 2025 under sub-section (4) of section 20A of the said Act shall be final. And whereas, No objection was received and the same has been considered by the Competent authority accordingly order has been passed; And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (I) of section 20E of the said Act, the competent Authority has submitted its report to the Central Government; Now therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the Competent Authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (I) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the lands specified in the schedule annexed here to shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the official Gazette, the land specified in the schedule annexed here to shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
