The Ministry of Railways (South Central Railway) issued Notification S.O. 2098(E) on April 24, 2026, declaring the acquisition of lands in Kamareddy district, Telangana, for the Mudkhed – Dhone doubling Special Railway Project. This declaration is made by the Central Government under sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 20E of the Railway Act, 1989 (24 of 1989). This notification follows a previous intention to acquire land, declared by S.O. 504(E) dated February 2, 2026, and published on February 4, 2026, under sub-section (1) of section 20A of the said Act. The substance of the previous notification was published in daily newspapers "THE TIMES OF INDIA, SWATANTRA VAARTHA and SAKSHI" on February 13th and 14th, 2026, as per sub-section (4) of section 20A. No objections were received for Pondurthi, Sarampally, Kamareddy, Tippapur, Rameshwarampally, Bhiknoor, Baswapoor, and Uppalawai Villages of Kamareddy district. The competent authority submitted its report to the Central Government under sub-section (1) of section 20E. Upon publication of this notification, the lands specified in the annexed schedule, totaling approximately 8.50 acres across multiple villages (Pondurthi: 2.38 acres; Sarampally: 0.15 acres; Kamareddy: 1.08 acres; Tippapur: 2.07 acres; Rameshwarpally: 0.38 acres; Bhiknoor: 1.10 acres; Baswapoor: 0.10 acres; Uppalwai: 1.24 acres), shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.

NOTIFICATION
Secunderabad, the 24th April, 2026

S.O. 2098(E).—Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Railways (Railway
Board), number, S.O 504 (E) dated the 2nd February, 2026 published in Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, section 3 Sub-
section(ii), dated the 4th February, 2026 (hereinafter referred to as the said notification) and issued under sub-section(1) of
section 20(A) of the Railway Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) (hereinafter referred to as the said act), the Central Government declared
its intention to acquire the land specified in the schedule annexed to the said notification for the purpose of execution,
maintenance, management and operation of Special Railway Project, namely Mudkhed – Dhone doubling project in the
District of Kamareddy in the State of Telangana.

And whereas, the substance of the said notification was published in daily newspapers namely “THE TIMES OF
INDIA, SWATANTRA VAARTHA and SAKSHI" dated 13th & 14th February, 2026 under sub section (4) of section
20A of the said Act;

And whereas, for Pondurthi, Sarampally, Kamareddy, Tippapur, Rameshwarampally, Bhiknoor, Baswapoor &
Uppalawai Villages of Kamareddy district, no objections were received and the same have been considered by the competent
Authority accordingly orders have been passed;

And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of 20E of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its
report to the Central Government;

Now therefore, upon receipt of the report of the Competent Authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by
sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the lands specified in the schedule
annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;

And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government here by declares
that on publication of this notification in the official Gazette, the land specified in the schedule annexed here to shall vest
absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances:
