The Ministry of Railways (South Central Railway) issued Notification S.O. 2109(E) on April 24, 2026, from New Delhi, declaring the acquisition of specific lands for the "Third line between Gudur - Renigunta stations (83.17 Km)" Special Railway Project in SPSR Nellore District, Andhra Pradesh. This declaration is made under sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 20E of the Railway Act, 1989 (24 of 1989). This follows the Central Government's earlier intention to acquire land, published in notification S.O 4634 (E) dated October 09, 2025, which was issued by the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) under sub-section (1) of section 20A of the same Act. The substance of the previous notification was published in daily newspapers, including "The New India Express (English)", on October 18, 2025, by K. Suryanaryana, Chief Engineer-III, Construction Organization Secunderabad, under sub-section (4) of section 20A. No objections were filed within the statutory time limit, and a report from the competent authority was submitted to the Central Government. Upon publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the lands detailed in the annexed schedule, located across Kondagunta, Vedicherla, and Vendodu villages of Gudur Mandal, SPSR Nellore District, totaling approximately 10.38 acres (8.82 Acs. for Kondagunta, 1.52 Acs. for Vedicherla, and 0.04 Acs. for Vendodu), shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances. The acquired land includes both Government and private (Patta/DKT) holdings, with some plots containing existing trees such as Neem and Lemon. The notification was signed by K. NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 24th April, 2026

S.O. 2109(E).- Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board), number, S.O 4634 (E) dated the 09th October 2025 published in Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, section 3 Sub-section(ii), dated the 10th October 2025 (here in after referred to as the said notification) and issued under sub-section(1) of section 20(A) of the Railway Act, 1989(24 of 1989), the Central Government declares its intention to acquire the land specified in the schedule annexed to the said notification for the purpose of execution, maintenance, management and operation of Special Railway Project, namely "Third line between Gudur - Renigunta stations (83.17 Km)”, in Then Tirupati District now SPSR Nellore District in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

And whereas, the substance of the said notification was published in daily newspapers namely "Sakshi(Telugu), Andhra Prabha(Telugu) and The New India Express (English)" on 18th October 2025 by K.Suryanaryana, Chief Engineer-III, Construction Organization Secunderabad under sub section (4) of section 20A of the said Act;

And whereas no objections have been filed within the statutory time limit.

And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of 20E of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its report to the Central Government;

Now therefore, upon receipt of the report of the Competent Authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the lands specified in the schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;

And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government here by declares that on publication of this notification in the official Gazette, the land specified in the schedule annexed here to shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances
