The Ministry of Railways (South Central Railway) issued Notification S.O. 772(E) on February 2, 2026, published in The Gazette of India on February 13, 2026, declaring the Central Government's intention to acquire land. This acquisition, exercised under sub-section (1) of section 20A of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989), is for the public purpose of executing a Special Railway Project: the construction of a Road Over Bridge (ROB) in lieu of Level Crossing No. 433 at Gollaprolu station Yard, Railway Km. 646/02-04, in Kakinada District, Andhra Pradesh. The land to be acquired, totaling 5.705 Acres, is detailed in an annexed schedule, including both Government and Patta/Zeroithy lands. Interested persons may raise objections within thirty days from the notification's publication date, as per sub-section (1) of section 20D of the said Act. Objections must be submitted in writing to the competent authority, the Revenue Divisional Officer, Kakinada, Kakinada District, who will provide an opportunity for hearing. The order made by the competent authority under sub-section (II) of section 20(D) of the Act will be final. Land plans and details are available for inspection at the competent authority's office. NOTIFICATION
Secunderabad, the 2nd February, 2026
S.O. 772(E). In exercise of the power conferred by sub-section(1) of section 20A of the Railways Act,
1989 (24 of 1989) (hereinafter referred in as the said Act), the Central Government after being satisfied that for the
public purpose, the land, the brief description of which was given in the schedule annexed hereto, is required for
execution of the Special Railway Project, namely, Construction of ROB in lieu of LC No. 433 at Gollaprolu station
Yard at Railway Km. 646/02-04 in Kakinada District in the state of Andhra Pradesh, hereby declares its intention to
acquire such land:
Any person interested in the said land may, within a period of thirty days from the date of publication of this
notification in the official Gazette, raise objection to the acquisition and use of such land for the aforesaid purpose
under sub-section (1) of section 20D of the said Act:
Every such objection shall be made to the competent authority, namely, Revenue Divisional Officer,
Kakinada, Kakinada District, in writing and shall set out the grounds thereof and the competent authority Revenue
Divisional Officer, Kakinada, Kakinada District shall give the objector an opportunity of being heard, either in person
or by legal practitioner and may, after hearing all such objections and after making such further enquiry, if any as the
competent authority thinks necessary, by order, either allow or disallow the objections.
Any order made by the competent authority under sub-section (II) of section 20(D) of the said act shall be
final.
The land plans and other details of the land covered under this notification are available and can be inspected
by the interested person at the aforesaid office of the competent authority.
