In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (7A) of section 2 of the Railways Act, 1989, the Central Government hereby makes the following modification in the notification S.O. 4166(E) dated 20th September, 2024, issued by the Ministry of Railways, authorizing the officer mentioned in column (5) of the Table below to perform the functions of the Competent Authority in respect of the Special Railway Project mentioned in column (2) of the Table, for execution, maintenance, management and operation in the State mentioned in column (3) of the said Table, with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette. It is hereby notified that, consequent upon the reorganization of districts and jurisdictional changes in the State of Andhra Pradesh, Gudur Mandal, which was earlier under Tirupati District, now falls under SPSR Nellore District. Accordingly, the Competent Authority for Land Acquisition (CALA) for the lands falling in Gudur Mandal in respect of the Special Railway Project mentioned below shall be the Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO), Gudur. However, for the remaining mandals falling under Tirupati District for the said project, the Joint Collector, Tirupati shall continue to perform the functions of the Competent Authority for Land Acquisition (CALA) as notified earlier in S.O. 4166(E) dated 20th September, 2024.
