NOTIFICATION
Secunderabad, the 3rd July, 2026
S.O. 3669(E).— Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Railways (Railway
Board), number S.O.682 (A), dated the February, 2026 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-ii, section
3, Sub-section (ii), dated 9 th February, 2026 and Corrigendum notification number S.O.2672 (E), dated 26th May, 2026
issued under sub-section (ii) of section 20(A) of the Railways (Amendment) Act, 2008 (11 of 2008) (here in after
referred as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the land in the schedule annexed to
the said notification for the purpose of execution, maintenance, management and operation of the Special Railway
Project namely " Mudkhed – Dhone Doubling Railway Line" in Dharmabad & Umri tahsil in Nanded District in the
State of Maharashtra.
And whereas, the substance of the said notification has been published in the daily local newspapers, namely,
“Daily Lokmat Samachar Hindi” of dated 19rd February,2026 & “Lokmat Times English of dated 19th February,2026
and Corrigendum notification has been published in “Daily Lokmat Samachar Hindi, & “Lokamat Times English” of
dated 30th May, 2026 under sub-section (4) of section 20A of the said Act;
And whereas, (28) objections were received and those have been considered by the Competent Authority
accordingly orders have been passed;
And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 20 (E) of the said Act, the Competent Authority has
submitted its report to the Central Government.
Now therefore, upon receipt of the report of the Competent Authority and in exercise of the powers conferred
by sub-section (1) of section 20 (E) of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in
the Schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose.
And further, in the pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20 (E) of the said Act, the Central Govt. hereby
declares that on publication of the notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the Schedule annexed hereto
shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
