                Detailed Summary
            

            
The Ministry of Railways (South Central Railway), vide Notification S.O. 1745(E) dated 31st March, 2026, formally declares the acquisition and absolute vesting of lands in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances, for the construction of a Road Over Bridge in lieu of Level Crossing (LC) No.378 in Arugolanu Village of Tadepalligudem Mandal, West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh. This declaration is made under sub-sections (1) and (2) of Section 20(E) of the Railway Act, 1989 (24 of 1989), following the submission of a report by the Competent Authority. This action follows an earlier declaration of intention to acquire land, published under S.O.No. 406(E) dated 28th January, 2026, in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II Section 3 Sub section (ii). An extract of the initial notification was published in daily newspapers Times Nation, Vartha, and Sakshi Daily News paper on 04 February, 2026, with the approval of Manoj Kumar, Chief Engineer, Construction, Road Safety Projects, South Central Railway. Objections were received by the Competent Authority (LA) & Revenue Divisional Officer, West Godavari, for Arugolanu Village. NOTIFICATION
Secunderabad, the 31st March, 2026

S.O. 1745(E).— Whereas, by the notification by Government of India, in the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board), number S.O.No. 406(E), dt: 28.01.2026 Published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II Section 3 Sub section (ii), dated. 28.01.2026 (herein after referred to as said notification) and issued under sub section (1) of section 20(A) of the Railway Act, 1989 (24 of 1989), the Central Government declares its intention to acquire the land specified in the schedule annexed to the said notification for the Construction of Road Over Bridge in Lieu of Level Crossing (LC) No.378 in Arugolanu Village of Tadepalligudem Mandal in West Godavari District, in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

And whereas an extract of this notification was published in the daily newspapers the Times Nation, Vartha and Sakshi Daily News paper on 04 February, 2026 with the approval of Manoj Kumar, Chief Engineer, Construction, Road Safety Projects, South Central Railway, Secunderabad, under sub-section (1);Section 20A of this Act.

And Whereas, Competent Authority (LA) & Revenue Divisional Officer, West Godavari have objections received for Arugolanu Village of Tadepalligudem Mandal in West Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh State.

And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of 20(E) of this Act, the Competent Authority has submitted its report to the Central Government.

Now therefore, on receipt of the report of the Competent Authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 20(E) of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the lands mentioned in the Schedule have been annexed to be obtained here for the purpose mentioned above;

Further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20E of this Act, the Central Government, hereby declares on publication of notification in the Official Gazette, that the land specified in the schedule annexed here to shall vest absolutely in the Central Government is free from all encumbrances.
