L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-RJ-E-12062025-263749 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 2456] NEW DELHI, MONDAY, JUNE 9, 2025/JYAISTHA 19, 1947 MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS [North Western Railway (Construction)] NOTIFICATION Jaipur, the 9th June, 2025 S.O. 2516(E).—Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Railway (North Western Railway Construction), S.O. 1204(A). dated the 13th March, 2025 published in Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, section 3 Sub-section (ii), dated the 13th March, 2025 (hereinafter referred to as the said notification) under sub-section (i) of section 20A of the Railways (Amendment) Act, 2008 (11 of 2008) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declares its intention to acquire the land specified in the schedule annexed to the said notification for the purpose of execution, maintenance, management and operation of Special Railway Project, namely “Doubling between Ajmer-Chanderiya section (178.28km)” of Ajmer Division of North Western Railway” in the state of Rajasthan. And whereas, the substance of the said notification was published in daily newspapers namely “Dainik Bhaskar” and “Rajasthan Patrika” Dated 21 March-2025 under sub section (4) of section 20A of the said Act; And whereas, objections received within the stipulated time period were resolved by Competent Authority and accordingly. And, whereas, in pursuance of sub section (1) of section 20E of the said act, the competent authority has submitted its report to the Central Government; Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority, and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And, Further in pursuance of sub section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the official Gazette, that land specified in the schedule annexed hereto shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
