                Detailed Summary
            

            
This Ministry of Railways notification, S.O. 1770(E), dated April 2, 2026, and published on April 8, 2026, declares the acquisition of land for the "Khatipura Development of the New Terminal Facility as Satellite Station to Jaipur" Special Railway Project in Jaipur District, Rajasthan. This declaration is made by the Central Government under sub-section (1) and (2) of section 20E of the Railway Act, 1989 (24 of 1989), following the receipt of a report from the competent authority. The intention to acquire these lands was initially declared by Government of India notification S.O. 2480(E), published in the Gazette of India in June 2025, under sub-section (1) of section 20A of the same Act. The substance of the earlier notification was published in daily newspapers, Dainik Bhaskar and Rajasthan Patrika, on August 7, 2025, as per sub-section (4) of section 20A, and objections received were subsequently resolved. Upon publication of this notification, the specified lands, detailed in the annexed Schedule, shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances. The total land to be acquired amounts to 67849 square meters, including 48024 Sqm from Rajasthan Housing Board, 3385 Sqm from Jaipur Development Authority, and 16440 Sqm from private owners, across villages Kalyapura urf Khatipura, Chatarpura, and Govinpura urf Ropada in Tehsil Sanganer, District Jaipur.

NOTIFICATION
Jaipur, the 2nd April, 2026

S.O. 1770(E).— Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Railway
(Railway Board), number S.O. 2480(E), published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section –
3, Sub-section (ii), dated June 2025 and issued under section under sub-section (1) of section 20A of the
Railway Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its
intention to acquire the land specified in the Scheduled annexed of the said notification for execution,
maintenance, management and operation of the Special Railway Project, namely "Khatipura Development
of the New Terminal Facility as Satellite Station to Jaipur" in the District -Jaipur in the State of Rajasthan.

And, whereas, the substance of the said notification has been published in the daily newspapers,
namely, Dainik Bhaskar and Rajasthan Patrika (Hindi) dated 07 August 2025 under sub-section (4) of section
20A of the said Act;

And whereas, objections received within the stipulated time period were resolved by competent
authority and accordingly.

And, whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the competent authority
has submitted its report to the Central Government;

Now, therefore, upon receipt of the report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers
conferred by sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the
lands specified in the Schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose.

And, further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government
hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the
Schedule annexed hereto shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
