This follows a previous notification, S.O 1844 (E) dated 9th April 2026 (published 10th April 2026) by the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board), which expressed the Central Government's intention to acquire land under sub-section (1) of section 20A of the Railway Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) and the Railway (Amendment) Act, 2008, for the 'Bhusawal-Khandwa 3rd & 4th line Project (131 Kms)' in the district of Burhanpur, Madhya Pradesh. The substance of the intention notification was published in daily newspapers "Dainik Bhaskar" & "Dainik Patrika" on 07-07-2025 & 08-07-2025, respectively, under sub-section (4) of section 20A. Objections were received and heard by the Competent Authority, with orders passed in terms of Section D of the said Act, and a report submitted to the Central Government under sub-section 20E. Upon publication of this notification, the lands, totaling 22.3400 Ha across 5 villages (Borsel, Chulkhan, Ratagad, Nimna Raiyat, Nashirabad) in Burhanpur district, Madhya Pradesh, shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances. The total area described in the schedule is 122.2488 Ha, with 22.3400 Ha designated for acquisition.

No. G197/BSL-KNW 3rd & 4th/Borsel+4Vlgs/20E] MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (Central Railway) NOTIFICATION Mumbai, the 19th May, 2026 Under clause 20E of the Railway (Amendment) Act 2008 S.O. 2604(E).— Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board), number, S.O 1844 (E) dated 9th April 2026 published in Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, section 3 Sub- section (ii), dated the 10th April 2026 (hereinafter referred to as the said notification) and issued under sub-section (1) of section 20A of the Railway Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) and Railway (Amendment) Act, 2008 (11 of 2008) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declares its intention to acquire the land specified in the schedule annexed to the said notification for the purpose of execution, maintenance, management and operation of Special Railway Project, namely “Bhusawal-Khandwa 3rd & 4th line Project (131 Kms)” in the district of Burhanpur in the State of Madhya Pradesh. And whereas, the substance of the said notification was published in for Sub-Divisional Oficer (Revenue) & Land Acquisition Officer, Nepanagar in daily newspapers namely “Dainik Bhaskar” & “Dainik Patrika” Dated 07- 07-2025 & 08-07-2025 respectively under sub section (4) of section 20A of the said Act. And whereas, objections were received. Competent Authority has heard the objections and orders have been passed in terms of Section D of the said act. And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section 20E of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its report to the Central Government. Now therefore, upon receipt of the report of the Competent Authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the lands specified in the schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose. And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the official Gazette, the land specified in the schedule annexed hereto shall vest absolutely in the Central government free from all encumbrances.
