NOTIFICATION
Mumbai , the 20th November , 2023
S.O. 4991(E).—Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Railways (Railway
Board) (Published in the Gazette of India, under n otification No. 2171(E) of dated 11.05.2023 Extra Ordinary part II
Section -3 Sub -section (II)) (here in after referred to as the said notification) under subsection(I) of section 20A of the
Railway Act 1989 (24 of 1989) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) the Central Government declared its intention
to be acquired the land specified in the Schedule annexed to the said notification for execution, maintenance,
management and operation of the Special Railway Project, namely, Anand -Godhra Doubling Projec t Project in
District Panchmahal in the State of Gujarat.
And, whereas, the substance of the said notification was published in daily local newspaper “Gujarat
Samachar” dated 15th July 2023. “The Indian Express” dated 16th July 2023 under sub -section (4) of section 20A of
the said Act; and whereas, no objection has been received by the competent authority.
And, whereas, in pursuance of sub -section (I) of section 20E of the said Act, the competent authority has
submitted its report of the Centra l Government;
Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority, and in exercise of the powers
conferred by sub -section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land
specified in the sched ule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;
And, further, in pursuance of sub -section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central government here by
declares that on publication of this notification in the official Gazette the land specified in the schedule annexed hereto
shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
