NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 7th October, 2024
S.O. 4367(E). Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Railways
(Railway Board), number S.O. 669(E), dated the 13th February, 2024 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary,
Part II, Section 3, Sub – section (ii), dated the 13th February, 2024 and issued under sub-section (1) of section 20A of
the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its
intention to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed to the said notification for the purpose of execution of
the Special Railway Project, namely, New Brodgauge line intersections 5 (NOS) between Geratpur-Sanand and
Botad-Ahmedabad Project (16.51 KM) in District Ahmedabad in the State of Gujarat.
And, whereas, the substance of the said notification has been published in the daily local news papers,
namely, Times of India (English), dated the 19st October, 2023, Divy Bhaskar (Gujarati) dated the 19st October, 2023
and Young leader (Hindi) dated the 19st October, 2023 for Fatehwadi, Navapura, Chenpur & Badrabad village and
whereas, the substance of the said notification has been published in the daily local news papers, namely, Times of
India (English), dated the 17st February, 2024, Divy Bhaskar (Gujarati) dated the 17st February, 2024 and Young
leader (Hindi) dated the 17st February, 2024 for Okaf under sub-section (4) of section 20A of the said Act;
And, whereas, No objection have been received for Okaf village, 11(Eleven) numbers of objection
have been received for Fatehwadi village, 18(Eighteen) numbers of objection have been received for Navapura
village, No objection have been received for Chenpur village & 20(Twenty) numbers of objection have been received
for Badrabad village and the same have been considered and disallowed by the competent authority;
And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the competent authority has
submitted its report to the Central Government.
Now, therefore, upon receipt of the report of the Competent Authority and in exercise of the powers
conferred by sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land
specified in the Schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose.
And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby
declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the Schedule annexed
hereto shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
