                Detailed Summary
            

            
This notification, S.O. 1809(E), issued by the Ministry of Railways (Central Railway) on April 7, 2026, and published on April 8, 2026, declares the acquisition and absolute vesting of land for the "Pachora – Jamner with Extension upto Malkapur-Narrow Gauge to Broad Gauge (84.34 Kms)" Special Railway Project. This action is taken under sub-section (1) and sub-section (2) of section 20E of the Railway Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) and the Railway (Amendment) Act, 2008 (11 of 2008). The Central Government's intention to acquire this land, located in the district of Jalgaon, Maharashtra, was previously declared by notification S.O 1690 (E) dated April 9, 2025, under sub-section (1) of section 20A of the said Act. The substance of the earlier notification was published in Marathi newspapers on March 18, 2025, and May 8, 2025, and no objections were received. Following a report from the competent authority, the Central Government now declares the acquisition of the lands specified in the annexed schedule, totaling 6.2646 Hectares across villages including Takali BD, Maldabhadi, Sonari, Pahur, Jamner, and Khadki, all within Jamner Taluka. NOTIFICATION
Mumbai, the 7th April, 2026
Under clause 20E of the Railway (Amendment) Act 2008

S.O. 1809(E).—Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Railways
(Railway Board), number, S.O 1690 (E) dated 9th April 2025 published in Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II,
section 3 Sub-section (ii), dated the 9th April 2025 (hereinafter referred to as the said notification ) and issued under
sub-section (1) of section 20A of the Railway Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) and Railway (Amendment) Act, 2008 (11 of
2008) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declares its intention to acquire the land
specified in the schedule annexed to the said notification for the purpose of execution, maintenance, management and
operation of Special Railway Project, namely “Pachora – Jamner with Extension upto Malkapur-Narrow Gauge
to Broad Gauge (84.34 Kms)" in the district of Jalgaon in the State of Maharashtra.

And whereas, the substance of the said notification was published in for SLAO(1)UTPH.Jalgaon daily
Marathi newspapers namely “Dainik Tarun Bharat”, “Dainik Janshakti” & “Dainik Deshonnati” Dated 18-03-
2025 & Dated 08-05-2025 respectively under sub section (4) of section 20A of the said Act;

And whereas, no objections were received.

And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of Section 20E of the said Act, the competent authority has
submitted its report to the Central Government;

Now therefore, upon receipt of the report of the Competent Authority and in exercise of the powers conferred
by sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the lands specified in
the schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;

And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby
declares that on publication of this notification in the official Gazette, the land specified in the schedule annexed
hereto shall vest absolutely in the Central government free from all encumbrances.
