G197/2024/Loni Good Shed/September/20E ] MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (CENTRAL RAILWAY) NOTIFICATION Mumbai, 4th September, 2024 S.O. 3806 (E).—Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Railways (Central Railway) number S.O. 5223(E), dated the 8th December 2 023 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part -ii, section -3, Sub -section (ii), dated 8th Decembe r 2023 and issued under sub section (I) of section 20A of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989)(here in after referred as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the land in the schedule annexed to the said notification for th e purpose of execution, maintenance, management and operation od the Special Railway Project namely Loni Yard in Pune District in the State of Maharshatra. And whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in the daily local newspapers , namely, 1) Dainik Loktimes, dated 28th December 2023 & 2) Dainik The Economic Times, dated 28th Dec ember, 2023 under sub section (4) of section 20A of the said Act; And whereas, objections were received; Competent Authority has heard the objections and orders have been passed in terms of section 20D of the said act; And whereas, in pursuance of sub sect ion (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Competent Authority has submitted its reports to the Central Government. Now therefore, ippon receipt of the report of the Competent Authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the Schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose. And further, in the pursuance of sub -section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central G overnment here by declares that on publication of the notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the Schedule annexed hereto shall ves absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
