NOTIFICATION
Mumbai, the 30th January, 2024
S.O. 522(E). Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Railways (Railway
Board) (Published in the Gazette of India, Extra Ordinary part II Section-3 Sub-section (II)) (here in after referred to
as the said notification) under subsection(I) of section 20A of the Railway Act 1989 (24 of 1989) (hereinafter referred
to as the said Act) the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed
to the said notification No. 2056 Dated 09.05.2023 for execution, maintenance, management and operation of the
Special Railway Project, namely, for construction of New ROB (1x36.00 m Steel Girder) in lieu of Existing ROB No.
48 at Km 626/4-6 due to inadequate height for Railway Electrification works at Surendranagar Yard in connection
with Surendranagar-Rajkot Doubling work on Rajkot Division in the District of Surendranagar in the State of Gujarat.
And, whereas, the substance of the said notification was published in daily local newspaper "Gujarat
Samachar/Young Leader Hindi Dainik/Times of India” dated 13th May 2023 under subsection (4) of section 20A of
the said Act;
And, whereas, no objection has been received by the competent authority.
And, whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (I) of section 20E of the said Act, the competent authority has
submitted its report of the Central Government;
Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority, and in exercise of the powers
conferred by sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land
specified in the schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;
And, further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central government here by
declares that on publication of this notification in the official Gazette the land specified in the schedule annexed hereto
shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
Description of Land to be acquired with or without structure for the special Railway project for
Construction of New ROB in lieu of Existing ROB No. 48 at Km 626/4-6 due to inadequate height for Railway
Electrification works at Surendranagar Yard (1x36.00 m Steel Girder) in connection with SUNR-RJT
Doubling work on Rajkot Division, District of Surendranagar in the state of Gujarat.
