Detailed Summary

The Ministry of Railways (Central Railway) issued Notification S.O. 1726(E) on April 1, 2026, in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 20A of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) and the Railway (Amendment) Act, 2008. The Central Government has declared its intention to acquire land for the public purpose of executing, maintaining, managing, and operating the Special Railway Project named "Manmad-Indore New Line (New line between Manmad to New Dhule and Nardana to Dr. Ambedkar Nagar (309.43 Kms)". This project spans the districts of Nashik and Dhule in Maharashtra State, and Badwani, Khargone, Dhar, and Indore districts in Madhya Pradesh State. Any person interested in the said land may raise an objection to the acquisition within thirty days from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, as per sub-section (1) of section 20D of the said Act. Objections must be made in writing to the Competent Authority, identified as the Sub-Divisional Officer (R) & Land Acquisition Officer, Mandleshwar District Khargone, Madhya Pradesh, who will provide an opportunity for hearing. The order made by the Competent Authority under sub-section (2) of section 20D shall be final. Land plans and other details are available for inspection at the Competent Authority's office. The schedule annexed details land to be acquired across 3 villages in Khargone District, Madhya Pradesh, with a grand total of 6.8623 hectares to be purchased/acquired.

L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-MH-E-04042026-271577 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 1661] NEW DELHI, THURSDAY, APRIL 2, 2026/CHAITRA 12, 1948 MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (Central Railway) NOTIFICATION Mumbai, the 1st April, 2026 Under clause 20A of the Railway (Amendment) Act 2008 S.O. 1726(E). — In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 20A of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) & Railway (Amendment) Act, 2008 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government, after being satisfied that for the public purpose, the land, the brief description of which has been given in schedule annexed hereto, is required for purpose of execution, maintenance, management and operation of Special Railway Project, namely "Manmad-Indore New Line (New line between Manmad to New Dhule and Nardana to Dr. Ambedkar Nagar (309.43 Kms)" in the District of Nashik&Dhule of Maharashtra State &Badwani, Khargone, Dhar& Indore District of Madhya Pradesh State, hereby declares its intention to acquire such land. Any person interested in the said land may, within a period of thirty days from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, raise objection to the acquisition and use of such land for the aforesaid purpose under sub-section (1) of section 20D of the said Act. Every such objection shall be made to the Competent Authority namely, Sub-Divisional Officer (R) & Land Acquisition Officer, Mandleshwar District Khargone Madhya Pradesh in writing and shall set out the grounds thereof, and the Competent Authority shall give the objector the opportunity of being heard, either in person or by legal practitioner and may, after hearing such objections and after making such further enquiry, if any, as the Competent Authority thinks necessary, by order, either allow or disallow the objections. Any order made by the Competent Authority under sub-section (2) of section 20D of the said Act shall be final. The land plans and other details of the land covered under this notification are available and can be inspected by the interested person at the aforesaid office of the Competent Authority.
