No. E-373574 -19] MINISTRY OF RAILWAY [Railway Board (Western Railway )] NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 2nd September , 2024 S.O. 3741(E) .––Whereas, by the n otification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board), number S.O. 4493(E), dated the 12th October, 2023 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub – section (ii), dated the 12th October, 2023 and issued under sub -section (1) of section 20A of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed to the said notification for the purpose of execution of the Special Railway Project, namely, 4TH LINE BETWEEN BAREJADI – NANDEJ (GERATPUR) – SANAND (38.20 KM) IN THE DISTRICT OF AHMEDABAD in the State of Gujarat. And, whereas, the substance of the said notification has been published in the daily local news papers, namely, The Indian Express (English), dated the 21st October, 2023, Sandesh (Gujarati) dated the 21st October, 2023 and Young leader (Hindi) dated the 21st October, 2023 under sub -section (4) of section 20A of the said Act; And, whereas, 18 (Eighteen) numbers of objection have been received and the same have been considered and disallowed by the competent authority; And whereas, in pursuance of sub -section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its report to the Central Government. Now, therefore, upon receipt of the report of the Competent Authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub -section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the Schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose. And further, in pursuance of sub -section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the Schedule annexed hereto shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
