Publication of notification in respect of Traffic facility works at Sasalu in terms of clause 20E of the Railway Act 1989

L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-KA-E-29062026-273930 EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 3332] NEW DELHI, SATURDAY, JUNE 27, 2026/ ASHADHA 6, 1948 MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS [South Western Railway (Construction Organisation)] NOTIFICATION Bengaluru, the 26th June, 2026 S.O. 3467(E). — In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 20 E of the Railway Act 1989 (24 of 1989) the Central Government (Ministry of Railways, South Western Railway, Construction Organisation, Bengaluru Cantonment) after being satisfied with the report of the Competent Authority and Special Land Acquisition Officer, Chitradurga vide his Office communicated and here by declares that the lands described and shown in the following schedule and notified under SO No.159 (E) Dated: 10-01-2026 under sub section (1) of Section 20A of the Act, Shall be acquired for executing the Special Railway Project namely Traffic Facilities and capacity Augmentation works (umbrella works) 2023-24 Freight Terminal development at Sasalu Station yard in between Mayakonda and Chikkajajur Stations. Any Person interested in the said land may, within thirty days from the date of publication of this notification in the official Gazette, raise objection to the acquisition and use of such land for the aforesaid purpose under sub section (1) of Section 20D of said Act. Every such objection shall be made to the Competent Authority and Special Land Acquisition Officer, Chitradurga for Traffic Facilities and capacity Augmentation works (umbrella works) 2023-24 Freight Terminal development at Sasalu Station yard in between Mayakonda and Chikkajajur Stations Railway Project shall set out the grounds thereof and the competent authority shall give the objector and opportunity of being heard, either in person or by legal practitioner and may after hearing all such objections and after making such further enquiry, if any, as the competent authority thinks necessary, by order either allow or disallow the objections. The Competent Authority issued 20(A) Notice to land owners and provided a 30 days period for objections. No objections received regarding land Acquisition. The land plans and other details of the land covered under this 20 E Notification are available and can be inspected by the interested person at the aforesaid Office of the Competent Authority.
