This notification, S.O. 3829(E), issued by the Ministry of Railways, South Western Railway, Construction Organisation, Bengaluru Cantonment on July 13, 2026, declares the acquisition of land for the 'Construction of proposed New Crossing station at Kavalande Halt Station between Nanjangud – Chamarajanagara Stations on Mysuru-Chamarajanagara section'. This declaration follows a previous intention to acquire published under S.O.721(E) dated February 11, 2026, in accordance with Section 2, Clause 20A of the Railway Act, 1989 (24 of 1989). The substance of the earlier notification was published in 'Prajavani and Janamitra' on March 11, 2026, and objections filed under Section 2, Clause 20D were considered and settled. In exercise of powers conferred by Section 2, Clause 20E of the Railway Act, 1989, the Ministry declares that the land specified in the annexed Schedule, located in Chikkakavalande village, Doddakavalande Hobli, Nanjangud Taluk, Mysuru District, Karnataka, totaling 06 Acres 31.25 Guntas (2.7450 Hectares) of Dry Land for agriculture, shall be acquired and, upon publication of this notification, shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.

NOTIFICATION
Bengaluru, the 13th July, 2026

S.O. 3829(E). - Whereas by the notification of the Central Government (Ministry of Railway, South
Western Railway, Construction Organisation, Bengaluru Cantonment) S.O.721(E), dated 11.02.2026 published in the
Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) issued under Section 2, Clause 20A of Railway
Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) (herein referred to as the said act) the Ministry of Railway, South Western Railway,
Construction Organisation, Bengaluru Cantonment declare its intention to acquire the land specified in the schedule
annexed to the said notification for "Construction of proposed New Crossing station at Kavalande Halt Station
between Nanjangud – Chamarajanagara Stations on Mysuru-Chamarajanagara section" in the district of Mandya in the
state of Karnataka.

And whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in "Prajavani and Janamitra dated: 11-
03-2026; under Section 2, Clause 20A of Railway Act, 1989. And whereas the Competent Authority has received
objections filed under section 2, clause 20D, considered and settled the same appropriately.

Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers
conferred by the Section 2, Clause 20E of Railway Act, 1989, the Ministry of Railway, South Western Railway,
Construction Organisation, Bengaluru Cantonment hereby declares that the land specified in the said Schedule should
be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;

And further, in pursuance of Section 2, Clause 20E of Railway Act, 1989, the Ministry of Railway, South
Western Railway, Construction Organisation, Bengaluru Cantonment hereby declares that on publication of this
notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall vest absolutely in the Central
Government, free from all encumbrances.
