Detailed Summary

Notification S.O. 2203(E) issued by the Ministry of Railways (South Western Railway Construction Organisation) on May 15, 2025, declares the Central Government's intention to acquire land in the state of Karnataka for a public purpose under sub-section (1) of Section 20 A of the Railway Act 1989 (24 of 1989). The land, described in the annexed schedule, is required for the execution of a Special railway project for the construction of a Two lane ROB (Road Over Bridge) with Service Road in lieu of Level crossing No. 35. Any person interested in the said land may raise objections within Thirty days from the date of publication of this notification in the official Gazette, as per sub-section (1) of Section 20D of the said Act. Objections must be made in writing to the Competent Authority and Special Land Acquisition Officer, Tumakuru-Rayadurga and Tumakuru-Davanagere Railway project, Tumakuru, stating the grounds. The competent authority shall provide an opportunity of being heard, and their order under sub-section (2) of Section 20 D shall be final. Land plans and details are available for inspection at the aforesaid office. The schedule lists land in Tumakuru District, Urdigere Hobli, Tumakuru Taluk, in villages Kyathsandra, Thimlapura (Mydala Village Road & Kyathsandra Yard), and Basavapattana, totaling 0-31 1/2 Acres + 1434 Sq.ft.
