Publication of notification in respect of ROB in lieu of LC No 131 in terms of clause 20E of the Railway Act 1989

L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-KA-E-06072026-274189 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 3457] NEW DELHI, THURSDAY, JULY 2, 2026/ASHADHA 11, 1948 4963 GI/2026 (1) 2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA: EXTRAORDINARY [PART II-SEC. 3(ii)] MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS [South Western Railway (Construction Organisation)] NOTIFICATION Bengaluru, the 2nd July, 2026 S.O. 3592(E).— Whereas, by the notification of the Central Government (Ministry of Railway, South Western Railway, Construction Organisation, Bengaluru Cantonment) S.O. 1720 (E) dated 02nd April 2026 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, Section3, Sub-section (ii) issued under Section 2, Clause 20A of Railway Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) (herein referred to as the said act) the Ministry of Railway, South Western Railway, Construction Organisation, Bengaluru Cantonment declare its intention to acquire the land specified in the schedule annexed to the said notification for "Construction of ROB in lieu of LC No. 131 at Arsikere Habbanghatta at Chainage 162/700-800 (Habbanghatta Kaval Village)" in the district of Hassan In the state of Karnataka. And where as the substance of the said notification has been published in "Vijayavani", "Vijayakarnataka" "The Hindu" & "Deccan Herald" dated 18th April 2026 and in "Janamitra" dated 18th April 2026; under Section 2, Clause 20A of Railway Act, 1989. And whereas the Competent Authority has received objections filed under section 2, clause 20D, considered and settled the same appropriately. And whereas, in pursuance of Section 2, Clause 20E of Railway Act, 1989, the competent authority has submitted its report to the Ministry of Railway, South Western Railway, Construction Organisation, Bengaluru Cantonment. Now, therefore, up on receipt of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by the Section 2, Clause 20E of Railway Act, 1989, the Ministry of Railway, South Western Railway, [PART II-SEC. 3(ii)] Construction Organisation, Bengaluru Cantonment hereby declares that the land specified in the said Schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And further, in pursuance of Section 2, Clause 20E of Railway Act, 1989, the Ministry of Railway, South Western Railway, Construction Organisation, Bengaluru Cantonment hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.
