NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 31st December, 2025
S.O. 6123(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Seeds Act, 1966 (54 of 1966), the
Central Government, after consultation with the Central Seed Committee, is of the opinion that it is necessary and
expedient to regulate the quality of the seeds of the varieties specified under column (3) of the Table below for the
kinds specified in the corresponding entries under column (2) of the said Table, hereby declares that the said varieties
of seeds shall be the notified varieties for India for seed production for the purposes under the Act and shall be sold
for the purpose of agriculture in the States or Union territories, as the case may be, mentioned in the corresponding
entries under column (5) of the said Table, with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Official
Gazette, namely:-

S.O. 6124(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Seeds Act, 1966 (54 of 1966), the
Central Government, after consultation with the Central Seed Committee, hereby makes the following amendments in
the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Department of
Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii),
vide number S.O. No. 2128 (E), dated the 13th May, 2025, namely: -
In the said notification, in the Table, -
(i) against, serial number 2, under column (3), for the entry, the following entry shall be substituted,
namely, "Sabour Mashuri Dhan (BRR 2141) (IET 28489)";
(ii) against, serial number 3, under column (3), for the entry, the following entry, shall be substituted
namely, "Sabour Kunwar Dhan (BRR 2176) (IET 29140)";
(iii) against,, serial number 40, under column (4), after the words Rajasthan, the words "Bihar, Jharkhand,
Odisha, Assam, Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh" shall be
