Its composition includes non-official members from Parliament (nominated by Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs and Committee of Parliament on Official Language), Rastrabhasha Prachar Samiti, Wardha, Kendriya Sachivalya Hindi Parishad, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, and Department of Official Language, Ministry Of Home Affairs. Official members include Secretaries and Additional Secretaries from the involved departments, the Agriculture Commissioner, Senior Economic and Statistical Advisor, and Joint Secretaries. (3) Tenure of the Samiti:- Generally, the tenure of the Samiti will be for a period of three years, from the date of its constitution, provided that:- a) Any member, who is a Member of Parliament, if he/she ceases to be the Member of Parliament, will also cease to be member of the Samiti; b) Ex-officio members of the Samiti will continue to be members till they hold the post, by virtue of which they are the members of the Samiti; c) If any seat falls vacant due to resignation or death etc. of any member, the member appointed in his/her place, will remain member of the Samiti for the remaining term; d) In special circumstances, the tenure of the Samiti can be curtailed or extended by the Ministry. (4) General:- The headquarters of the Samiti will be New Delhi but if considered necessary, meetings can be organised at any other places too. (5) TA & other allowances:- a) The Members of the Parliament nominated in the Samiti, will be remunerated Travelling Allowance/Daily Allowance as per the provisions in the 'Members of Parliament (Salary, Allowance & Pension) Act, 1954 and amendments issued from time to time and rules made thereunder vide Department of Official Language Office Memorandum No. II/20034/04/2005-O.L. (Policy-2) dated February 3, 2006 for participating in meetings of the Samiti. b) Travelling Allowance/Daily Allowance to other non-official members of the Samiti will be paid as per the guidelines contained in the Department of Official Language Office Memorandum No. II/20034/04/86-O.L. (A-2) dated 22 January, 1987 keeping in view the high level status of the Committee and in accordance with the prescribed rates and rules as amended from time to time by the Government of India.
