The Ministry of Home Affairs, through Notification S.O. 3981(E) issued on August 31, 2025, has declared that the Central Government, exercising powers under sub-section (2) of section 1 of the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025 (13 of 2025), appoints September 1, 2025, as the date on which the provisions of the said Act shall come into force. This notification was issued from New Delhi under File No. 25022/55/2023-F.I and is signed by Nitesh Kumar Vyas, Additional Secretary.
