7980 GI/202 3 (1) EXTRAORDINARY PART II —Section 3 —Sub-section ( i) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 737] NEW DEL HI, THURS DAY , DECEMBER 28, 2023/ PAUS HA 7, 1945 CG-DL-E-30122023-250970 MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE (Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 2 8th December , 2023 G.S.R . 921(E).—Whereas the draf t rules further to amend the Insecticides Rules, 1971, was published, as required by section 36 of the Insecticides Act, 1968 (46 of 1968) vide notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (Department of Agricu lture and Farmers Welfare) number G.S.R. 645 (E), dated the 1st September, 2023, in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part -II, Section -3, Sub -section (i), inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be aff ected thereby, before the expiry of a period of thirty days from the date on which the copies of the Gazette of India in which the said notification was published, were made available to the public; And whereas, copies of the said notification were made av ailable to the public on 1st day of September, 2023; And whereas, objections or suggestions received from the public in respect of the said draft rules have been considered by the Central Government; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by s ection 36 of the said Act, the Central Government after consultation with the Board hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Insecticides Rules, 1971, namely: - 1. (1) These rules may be called the Insecticides (Seventh Amendment) Rules, 202 3. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Insecticides Rules, 1971, in rule 10, in sub -rule (3A), in clause (iii), after the first proviso, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely: — “Provided further that he must have passed Class 12th or Higher Secondary Certificate Examination from a recognized Board or University.” [F.
