Dated 30 August 2024 (No. PR/G/154/2022/DD/136/2022/DC/1612/2022), the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, New Delhi, notified that under Section 21B(3) of the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 read with Rule 18(17) of the Chartered Accountants (Procedure of Investigations of Professional and Other Misconduct and Conduct of Cases) Rules, 2007, its Disciplinary Committee found CA. Parameswari D (Membership No. 214838, of New No. 1/8, Old No. 19/12, Raja Naicken Street, Vanagaram, Chennai 600095) guilty of professional misconduct under Item (7) of Part I of the Second Schedule to the Act, and ordered removal of her name from the Register of Members for 60 days plus a fine of Rs. 20,000 payable within 90 days, with a further 30-day removal in default of payment. As the fine was not paid within the stipulated time, the Institute, exercising powers under Section 20(2) of the Act read with Regulation 18 of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988, notified that her name shall stand removed from the Register of Members for a consolidated period of 90 days, comprising 60 days plus an additional 30 days, with effect from 30 August 2024. Parameswari D (M.No. 214838), New no -1/8 (Old no -19/12), Raja Naicken Street, Vanagaram, CHENNAI 600095, guilty of Professional Misconduct falling within the meaning of Item (7) of Part I of Second Schedule to the aforesaid Act and consequently after affording an opportunity of being heard in terms of Rule 19(1) of the aforesaid Rules, ordered for removal of name of CA. Parameswari D (M.No. 214838) from the Register of Members for a period of 60(Sixty) days and also imposed a fine of Rs. 20,000/ -(Rupee s Twenty Thousand only) to be paid within 90(Ninety) days and in case of default in payment of fine within stipulated time her name shall be removed for a further period of 30(Thirty) days. Since the Respondent has failed to pay the imposed fine within st ipulated time, in pursuance of the aforesaid Order of the Disciplinary Committee and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of Section 20 of the aforesaid Act, read with Regulation 18 of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988, it is h ereby notified that the name of said CA. Parameswari D (M.No. 214838) , shall stand removed from the Register of Members for a consolidated period of 90(Ninety) days [60(Sixty) days plus additional 30(Thirty) days] with effect from 30th August, 2024.
