In exercise of the powers conferred by section 11B of the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957 (67 of 1957), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Atomic Minerals Concession Rules, 2016, namely: — 1. Short title and commencement: — (1) These rules may be called the Atomic Minerals Concession (Amendment) Rules, 2026. (2) They shall come into force on the 1st day of August, 2026. 2. In the Atomic Minerals Concession Rules, 2016, for rule 37, the following rule shall be substituted, namely: — "37. Penalty. – Whoever contravenes the provisions of these rules shall be liable to penalty in accordance with the provisions of section 25A and 25B and the rules made thereunder (i.e., the Mines and Minerals Adjudication of Penalties Rules, 2026).".
