L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-30072026-274984 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (i) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 622] NEW DELHI, THURSDAY, JULY 30, 2026/SHRAVAN 8, 1948 MINISTRY OF MINES NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 30th July, 2026 G.S.R. 684(E). — In exercise of the powers conferred by section 13 of the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957 (67 of 1957), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Minerals (Other than Atomic and Hydro Carbons Energy Minerals) Concession Rules, 2016, namely:— 1. Short title and commencement: — (1) These rules may be called the Minerals (Other than Atomic and Hydro Carbons Energy Minerals) Concession (Fourth Amendment) Rules, 2026. (2) They shall come into force on the 1st day of August, 2026. 2. In the Minerals (Other than Atomic and Hydro Carbons Energy Minerals) Concession Rules, 2016 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), rule 34 shall be omitted. 3. In the said rules, for rule 54, the following rule shall be substituted, namely:— "54. Penalty. – Whoever contravenes the provisions of these rules shall be liable to penalty in accordance with the provisions of section 25A and 25B and the rules made thereunder (i.e., the Mines and Minerals Adjudication of Penalties Rules, 2026).". 4.
