The Ministry of Home Affairs, by Notification S.O. 2145(E) dated 30th May 2024 (F. No. 25022/04/2023-Imm), in exercise of powers under sub-clause (2) of clause 2 of the Foreigners Order, 1948, appointed the Chief Immigration Officer (ChIO), Bureau of Immigration, Port Blair Seaport, as the 'Civil Authority' for the purposes of the said Order for the Immigration Check Post located at Port Blair Seaport in the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, with effect from 30th May 2024, superseding an earlier Gazette Notification on the same subject. The notification was signed by Shyamal Misra, Additional Secretary.

L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-30052024-254453 EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 2046] NEW DELHI, THURSDAY, MAY 30, 2024/JYAISHTHA 9, 1946 MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 30th May, 2024 S.O. 2145(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause (2) of clause 2 of the Foreigners Order, 1948, the Central Government hereby appoints the Chief Immigration Officer (ChIO), Bureau of Immigration, Port Blair Seaport as the “Civil Authority” for the purposes of said Order for the Immigration Check Post located at Port Blair Seaport in the jurisdiction of the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands with effect from 30 May, 2024 by superseding the earlier Gazette Notification issued in this regard.
